RimWorld is a story generator. It’s designed to co-author tragic, twisted, and triumphant stories about imprisoned pirates, desperate colonists, starvation and survival. It works by controlling the “random” events that the world throws at you. Every thunderstorm, pirate raid, and traveling salesman is a card dealt into your story by the AI Storyteller.

Your colonists are not professional settlers – they’re crash-landed survivors from a passenger liner destroyed in orbit. You can end up with a nobleman, an accountant, and a housewife. You’ll acquire more colonists by capturing them in combat and turning them to your side, buying them from slave traders, or taking in refugees. So your colony will always be a motley crew. Each person’s background is tracked and affects how they play. A nobleman will be great at social skills (recruiting prisoners, negotiating trade prices), but refuse to do physical work. Frostpunk 2

· editedHi! I'm experiencing broken textures in RimWorld 1.7.4984. The same issue also occurred in 1.7.4981.
Many objects—including trees, stone chunks, beds, and ancient wrecks—appear as cropped rectangular or L-shaped fragments instead of complete sprites. Item labels and stack counts remain visible.
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 8600M
Driver version: 27.20.1034.6
Testing results:
The cause is still unknown, so I cannot confirm whether this is a driver issue or a compatibility problem with the new rendering engine.
Has anyone experienced similar texture corruption, especially on this GPU or related AMD hardware? Is there a known workaround or a newer build that fixes it? I can provide logs and screenshots if needed.

· editedAnybody gets this error? Can't even play the game as it doesn't extract all the files properly.
Edit: TYVM to mod. For reference, if you have problems extracting when using winrar, just use Nanazip instead.

I extracted the files, but everytime i run the app it crashes. It says 'Rimworld by ludeon studios has encountered an unrecovverable error and must shutdown, a required native library is missing or damaged, verifying the games files should fix it. otherwise, confirm that any antivirrus is not restricting the game'. Then it gave me the crash note.

Hi, I'm really excited to see that version 1.7 is available. By the way, I downloaded it and disabled my antivirus while extracting the RAR file, but this pops up when I try to run the game.
